There are so many tedious tasks to achieve before you can sell your car to get a new one. It
can be tiring and confusing. Since we opened in 1992, we have been doing business with many
local dealerships in the Tucson area. From that, we have picked up some tips that make buying
and selling your car a whole lot easier. We care about your car, here at Cool Auto Detail,
whether you are buying, selling, or keeping it, but in any case these tips are great to know!

1. Presentation:

When selling your car, you want it to look its absolute best. Whether you hand car wash it, or
bring it into Cool Auto, you want it clean and shiny. If a car appears to be taken care of
well, people often assume that it's been maintained mechanically. Presentation is
everything to getting the highest price for your car.

2. Deciding where to sell:

Your main two options when selling your vehicle are to sell to a dealership or to sell it
outright. This means a decision between having cash in hand or saving the amount of
money in the deal on sales tax. There are pros and cons to both options, so make sure
to do your research beforehand.

3. When buying a car, have a preset budget:

It is important to have a general idea of how much money you are willing to spend, and
to do research on the type of vehicle you are looking to buy. Know your credit score
beforehand also. This will help with pre-approved financing before going into making a
deal. The higher your credit score the better interest rate you will be offered. With all this,
it is incredibly important to feel comfortable and satisfied with your set budget before
deciding to take the next steps.

4. Gap insurance:

Gap insurance pays the difference of what is owed on a loan and the current value of
your vehicle if totaled or stolen. This is necessary to buy when getting a new car.
Otherwise, you will be in charge of paying off your car without help.

5. Deciding where to buy:

There are many options when it comes to purchasing a car. There is more than just one
dealership, too, so don’t get stuck at just one if you are happy with the deal. Don’t just
look at the payment amount, determine the length of the loan, and percent rate when
deciding what place to buy from. Overall, don’t get stuck in one place; this is a business
deal, not an emotional one. In any case, do your research and don't be afraid to walk
away.

6. Wrapping up the deal:

Don’t take your new car home until all the paperwork is finished. Make sure to check with
the old lender to ensure your payment has fully gone through and that there are no other
payments due on your previous vehicle, otherwise that can fall back on your credit.
Buying a new car should be something exciting, and the right dealer won’t make this a
stressful situation for you.

7. Best time to buy:

One last tip is that the best time to buy cars for the best deals are at the end of each
month. The very best time to buy is at the end of the year.

Here at Cool Auto, we not only care about taking care of your car for you, but also how
you buy and sell your car. These tips are here to relieve stress and make the whole
process smoother for you. Remember to research everything and ask professionals the
questions that you have. This is not here to replace any advice from your financial
advisers, lawyers or CPAs.
